Country Road

"Country Road" is a small watercolor study of a site near my home. I will teach a workshop on how to "Make Your Painting Stand Out: No Matter What Medium You Use." This study was a first step in helping me to find the right subject for that workshop. Details are here on my website at www.artbylinden.com/workshops.

Right now, it is not for sale. I'll be using it in my workshop.

INSIDER INSIGHTS:  Using Verditer Blue and Daniel Smith's French Ultramarine Blue, I painted the sky to complement the landscape and show depth. The field is primarily D.S. Quinacridone Gold with some burnt sienna and other hues that also appear throughout the painting. This helps to unify the watercolor sketch. I used primarily Daniel Smith's Undersea Green for the tree and other grasses.
