Painted with watercolor and India ink, the towering trees along the trail are modeled after the centuries old alder trees in Hannover, Germany's "Eilenriede." The color scheme of blues and pinks seemed the best way to capture the majesty and mystery of this special place in winter. The beautiful light draws the traveler down the path to explore and experience whatever lies ahead just beyond the bend.
